Welcome to the Franklin Owens Library




The goals of the Franklin Owens Library are to:

  • provide a collection of instructional materials that support and contribute to the curriculum.
  • provide materials and reference services for the completion of class assignments, homework, and for individual personal growth.
  • provide a pleasant environment for the pursuit of both personal and educational growth.

The library opens at 8:15 A.M. and closes at 3:41 P.M. The library is occasionally closed for meetings. Closings are announced in the morning and posted on the library door. No passes are required before school. During class time, an official pass or note is required. A librarian and an assistant are available to assist patrons using the library.

Choose books with AR goals in mind.
Replace materials and books carefully and properly.

Checking Out Materials

  • BOOKS: Students are allowed to borrow materials for a period of ten school days. Materials may be renewed unless requested by another person, or if the patron has overdue books or outstanding fines.
  • REFERENCE MATERIAL: Students may checkout encyclopedias overnight. All other reference material are restricted to use in the library.
  • PERIODICALS: Periodicals are for use in the library and may be checked out for 10 school days.

All patrons are responsible for any books or magazines checked out in their names. Please alert the librarian to any special circumstances.

Returning Materials

Materials may be returned by placing them in the book drop at the circulation counter.
